Formal at Magdalene College

Yesterday I went to a Formal Hall at Magdalene College. I was invited by Carlo de Stefanis, an Italian colleague who lives just in front of us.

I had a good time. Sometimes it's nice to dress up a little bit and wear your gown.

Another MBA, Daniel Vankov, from Bulgaria, also belongs to Magdalene and he invited Vasily Gribkov, from Russia, and Oliver Campbell, half English half Venezuelan.

We sat together, drank cheap red wine from Chile and France and joked about English food. The main course was haggis, which is more or less stuffed instestines. Oliver, the only English in the group and the only one who knew the ingredients beforehand asked for the vegetarian option. To be honest it wasn't that bad. It's more or less like Spanish "morcilla".

Afterwards we had a few drinks. Porto, Sherry, Wiskey and Bayleys were the choices. I went home early, at around 22:00 while most of the others headed for a pub.
